HOW MUCH DOES A CAR WRAP COST?

Some basic white text lettering on a car can cost as little as $150 with installation at A Better Sign. For bigger jobs it can be anywhere up to $5000 depending on the size of your vehicle.

VINYL LETTERING

This is where you can save a few bucks when wrapping a company car. Vinyl letters is some simple graphics that can be applied to your car while not covering over the original paint scheme. This picture displayed for this blog post was a job we did for Georgia Professional Landscape Group. Because the entire trailer was not covered this saves a lot of material and most importantly, labor.

LABOR COST MONEY

An entire car can be printed in 1 day on our machines and be ready to wrap. This is great as it means production on the wrap can get going off the ground quick! The drawback with full prints though is the labor part of wrapping. If our team has to stick a few stickers here and there to complete a job then you are looking at 1-2hr production time. BUT, if you plan on getting a full wrap, know that this is a very time consuming process and can take sometimes days to complete. This is something to take into consideration when you choose a full wrap as you must be prepared to not have your vehicle for a longer period.

FULL TRAILER WRAP EXAMPLE

Here you can see a similar trailer with the difference being we covered the entire thing. Besides being more coverage and a longer application time for our team, there can seomtimes be some other factors that can a play a part in your wrap.

DETAILS FOR DAYS

IN this FireLine trailer, what seems to be a simple square shaped sticker, after closer inspection you can see there are rivets throughout the entire side. Now in order to have this print looking great our team actually took out every single rivet so as to not have them interfere with the vinyl. After the vinyl is applied ever rivet is re put back into the trailer very carefully as to not damage the new wrap job. Afterwards, the entire wrap is run over with a heat gun to help seal the vinyl the the facing and ensure maximum adhesion is achieved. The door on the side has some hinges and a handle where one of our team member must go in with a blade and skillfully cut the shape out to fit around these oddly shaped protrusions. Keep in mid when these things are cut, they must be done perfectly the first time. Any mess ups means removing the entire piece, reprinting that vinyl and reapplying again.

CAN I WRAP MY OWN CAR

Sure, We can print all the pieces you need and you are more than welcome to try wrapping it yourself. We would strongly recommend you let us do the wrapping though as in the 26 years in the car wrapping business, we have never had a customer successfully wrap their own vehicle. We often will find the customers bring the vinyl back to us, asking to finish up a wrap, which ends up costing even more money as reprints usually will have to happen. There are plenty of youtube videos out there with wrap installation tutorials though so anyone is welcome to give it a go!

A BETTER SIGN CAN WRAP

Checkout our wrap leader, Sam in this video. The customer wanted their car in matte black. You can see how complex it can get by having to stick vinyl around strange curves and corners, all while keeping everything bubble free. Thanks Sam!
