If you are creating your own logo, it's a good idea to include some graphics and slogans that will help customers know what kind of business you are. Try having a color scheme to match all your products and online presence so when your product is seen people get familiar of what it is and where it came from. Start with a color palette of 2 to 5 colors. You can really have as many colors as you want but keeping it simple makes branding easier for you and easier for customers to remember. For instance, A Better Sign primarily uses a Navy Blue, Light Blue, and Yellow. These are the colors of our logo and the colors we use in many of the elements on our website.

This isn't mandatory but it is really nice if you choose colors that are easy to replicate. If you have a company and your main color is say, foam green. It will be much harder to find clothing that will match that color for branding purposes. Whereas, something simple like a dark red is a fairly univrvsal color sold at any store that can be picked up and used. Another great way to make sure colors match for printing is to select a PANTONE COLOR (PMS COLOR). This is a color that has some information on it to help printing operators know what the exact color you are looking for is. Dark red might be ok for some things, but there are MANY shades of dark red so selecting the exact one can be accomplished with a PMS code.
