Most custom signs require sign permitting. Exterior signage may require permits from your local city or county. Exterior signage that may require a permit include but are not limited to, wall signs, channel letters, ground signs and monument signs. Below will explain the steps taken to get your permits and set customer expectations.
Sign permitting will begin when a 50% deposit has been made on your project. We will do all the leg work in getting this tedious process done for your convenience. You will be charged a fee for this convenience on top of the price for the permitting. This price will be quotes once the full scope of the project and the permitting fee has been assessed.
Once paid, we get to work on the Sign Permit. The permitting process can take time, and this is based on the city or county turnaround times. You will get a welcome email from our Permits Department which explains where you are at in the process and will advise when the permit has been obtained. We add the actual permit fees to the invoice at this time.
Once the permit has been obtained we will begin to produce your sign and will reach out to you with an install date. The projected turnaround time for completing the whole project may vary but we will keep you up to speed on the process and will reach out to you as needed.
Once the install date has been set, we require the final payment on the invoice to be paid before the install date. You will receive an email and a payment link at that time. Sign are not installed until payment has been made under any circumstance.
Now we are ready to install your sign! A date has been chosen for the install and all preparations have been made to complete the job. In very rare cases an install may take more than one day to complete. This can sometimes be due to unforeseen circumstances. If any problems due arise you will be immediately notified with the next steps so that we can complete your sign install as fast as possible. Photos and sometimes video will be taken to document the install. With your permission we may ask to post these photos on our social media. This will show our great work off and help promote your business!
